Alice: Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?
The Cheshire Cat: That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.
Alice: I don’t much care where.
The Cheshire Cat: Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go.
Alice: …So long as I get somewhere.
The Cheshire Cat: Oh, you’re sure to do that, if only you walk long enough.”
As one hectic year replaces another, in pursuit of the destination, let’s not forget to enjoy the journey!
Happy New Year! 🙂
If I’d known I was going Somewhere I wouldn’t have started from here! Happy New Year to you too.
I know what you mean..but then again, here we are….happy new year! 🙂
A very Happy New Year to you too. Love the dialogue from Alice in Wonderland and how nicely you have woven it along with your New Year Wish.
Thank you Swati Di!! Happy New Year! 🙂
Beautiful photo… beautiful words… smiling here 🙂
Thank you Cynthia! Nice to know that Alice can still make people smile! 🙂
“in pursuit of the destination, let’s not forget to enjoy the journey” Love that. Speaking both metaphorically and physically. It’s the way I have always traveled my life. I like to stop and smell the roses and not just during the journey of life, but any physical journey. I stop at everything interesting I see along the way. 🙂
I think…that’s why I could “connect” with you…even though Kipling had famously stated, “East is East, and West is west and never the twain shall meet!” I think the journey itself is so much fun, that rushing through it would be such a waste! Thank you! 🙂
